John Craig Marsh

In 1818, John Craig Marsh moved to Louisiana from New York City and purchased a sugarcane farm on what is now known as Avery Island. Before long, Marsh was making rum influenced by the Island’s diverse flora and warm sea air. Prized for its clean notes, superior quality and smooth finish, Marsh’s rum was sold by the barrel and bottle, and were sought after throughout the Gulf South. Two hundred years and six generations later, his descendants bring you a premium blend of carefully curated rums. A fitting tribute to a grand legacy.
